This year will see the seventh UK Malnutrition Awareness Week - #UKMAW2024.

You are invited to promote your activities and join the conversations on social media during #UKMAW2024. Please send your photos, blogs and anything that you would like to share to enquiries@malnutritiontaskforce.org.uk

UKMAW was co-founded in 2018 by the Malnutrition Task Force (MTF) and BAPEN to raise awareness and understand the risks of preventable malnutrition across different sectors and settings, in local communities and with the general public and health and social care professionals.

Activities planned for #UKMAW2024

Our initial plans for #UKMAW2024 - full details will follow but for now...

Monday

We are looking at the overview of where we are since the general election. What does the new political landscape mean for older people, their nutrition and hydration?

Please take part in the BAPEN Annual Screening event.

Tuesday

Challenges Tuesday is an Interactive day for everyone to contribute to the campaign.

We all face challenges in keeping older people well-nourished and hydrated. This is your opportunity to share your good ideas. Do a short video clip or a selfie and send it to us at enquiries@malnutritiontaskforce.org.uk

Spotlight on Best Practice – showcase your work or case-study whether you are working in a Trust or Social Care or Community setting, please send a brief overview to enquiries@malnutritiontaskforce.org.uk

Wednesday

Our online learning event programme can be viewed here...

Thursday

A focus on hydration. We know that nutrition and hydration go together but often hydration is overlooked. We would love to hear from you if you have resources and ideas to share on social media.

Friday

Our call to action day! What can we all do to tackle nutrition and hydration, send us a video clip, photos or post on social media.

Do you need our help?

If you want to share something or would like to order some resources, please contact us at enquiries@malnutritiontaskforce.org.uk
